In Kreston Slovakia we are hiring a Tax Specialist. The position is a great opportunity for a fresh tax advisor who wants to train, or for a candidate who has a positive attitude towards taxes and would like to become a tax advisor in the future.

Job description and key competences

  • Preparation and processing of monthly VAT returns, control and summary statements
  • preparation of tax analyses and opinions for local
  • preparation of analyses from the perspective of international tax law, transfer pricing,
  • regular cooperation with Kreston Global’s partner offices in solving international tax problems
  • cooperation on representation of clients before tax authorities in tax audits, preparation of statements
  • advising accountants and payroll specialists on tax, accounting and payroll issues
  • consultation of professional issues with a tax adviser
  • knowledge of the English language a must and German (an advantage).

Requirements for the employee

Education: secondary education with secondary school leaving certificate, university degree I, university degree II, university degree III, education in a specialisation accounting, taxation, finance.

Years of experience: 2

Language skills:English – Intermediate (B2) or German – Intermediate (B2)

Other Skills: Microsoft Word – Advanced, Microsoft Excel – Advanced, Microsoft Outlook – Advanced, Microsoft PowerPoint – Advanced

Personal qualifications and skills:

  • Independence
  • Min. 2-3 years of work experience in the field of taxation
  • Experience in transfer pricing and the ability to apply it in practice – an advantage
  • Willingness and motivation to develop in a new field
  • University degree
  • Willingness to take responsibility
  • Flexibility and patience
  • Stress tolerance (coping with impact work before important deadlines)
  • Systematic and organised
  • Presentable
