This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manager with a background in leading statutory audit engagements, or with experience gained on the side of an audited entity or within a consolidated group, with a strong emphasis on engagement management, delivery excellence, and team leadership.

Job description and key competences

  • Management of statutory audits of clients comprising various national and multinational companies preparing financial statements in accordance with Slovak or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);

  • Overall responsibility for audit engagements, audit execution, and deliverables;

  • Planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments, including evaluation of results and communication of key findings to clients;

  • Professional leadership of the audit team, including planning of staff development activities;

  • Performance evaluation and monitoring of task completion of audit department team members.

  • Strategic communication with clients, development of client relationships, and collaboration with partners in setting objectives for the accounting department;

  • Opportunity to participate in other specialized audit engagements as well as various accounting, tax, or process advisory projects, depending on individual client requirements.

Requirements for the employee

We are looking for an experienced Manager who is eager to further develop their leadership capabilities, take responsibility for managing the audit department, lead a team of professionals, and contribute to complex projects for a diverse portfolio of clients.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in statutory audit management
  • SKAU licence
  • Strong technical expertise in auditing and double-entry bookkeeping
  • Advanced financial analysis skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Systematic approach to team management
  • Strong prioritisation skills and effective time management
  • Excellent organisational and managerial abilities
