Not every life story begins or unfolds the way we imagine. There are moments when even the youngest children and their families must face situations that no one should ever have to be prepared for. It is precisely at such times that help, support and simple human compassion take on immense significance.
At Kreston Slovakia, we believe that a company’s success is not measured solely by its results, expertise or relationships with business partners. Equally important is the value we bring to our community and the ways in which we can help people facing difficult circumstances in their lives.
That is why this year we decided to support the Kvapka Nádeje and become part of its mission to help children battling oncological and haematological diseases.
Turning Hope into Reality
Behind every child facing a serious illness is the story of a family: daily worries, demanding treatment, but above all, great hope for recovery. At such times, every contribution matters, as it can ease children’s path to health and bring their families greater security and support.
The Kvapka Nádeje has long been dedicated to supporting paediatric oncology and haematology patients in Slovakia. Its work includes assistance to healthcare facilities, the modernisation and equipping of specialised units, the improvement of treatment conditions, and psychosocial care for sick children.
Particular attention is given, for example, to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the National Institute of Children’s Diseases in Bratislava and to haemato-oncology centres in regional hospitals.
These activities represent far more than material assistance. They mean better treatment conditions, support for families during a difficult period and, above all, the chance for children to return as soon as possible to what comes naturally to them: childhood, play, laughter and carefree moments.
